Capital adequacy

The risk management principle is integral to the ZZavar-1. Provided that adequate technical provisions are ensured, and also appropriate investment of assets covering technical provisions and assets covering mathematical provisions, reinsurance, co-insurance and liquidity, insurance companies control their risk exposure primarily by ensuring sufficient capital, i.e. capital adequacy. Non-compliance with the minimum capital requirement constitutes a serious violation of risk management rules.
